Importance of a true Guru
The meaning of Guru word gu (darkness) and ru(light). Guru is a person who is regarded as having great knowledge, wisdom and authority in a certain area, and uses it to guide others.
The guru is seen as a sacred conduit for wisdom and guidance, and finding a Satguru (True Guru) is often held to be a prerequisite for attaining self-realization.
A true Guru is a literal and Knowledgeable teacher. His main purpose is to teach us, train us, encourage us, motivate us, inspire us, guide us for right path.
The instructing Guru is the teacher who actually trains the students. Sometimes the instructing Guru and the initiating Guru are the same person. The true Guru within is said to be the "wee" voice of God within the hearts that tells a person how to act, and so on.
The expression Sat guru (eternal guru) is often used to indicate as the original Guru.
True Gurus occupy a prominent place in all religions and they have divine knowledge.
The tradition of gurus played an important role in the preservation and continuity.
True Guru is a spiritual master, a venerable person, a religious teacher or spiritual guide who is known in the religious and spiritual traditions.
In the Vedas, a guru was a reputed priest who performed purification ceremonies and initiated going students into the study of Vedas.
There is evidence in Vedas, Gita Ji etc Holy scriptures that whenever there is decline of virtues and an uprise of sins and the form of the path bhakti is desorted by someone, God either by coming himself or by sending his most knowledgeable saint again establishes the virtues by means of the true knowledge.
True Guru is the light,
True Guru is the bright side,
True Guru is our day and night,
True Guru is our inspiration guide.
I bow down to the true Guru as without HIM I wouldn't have found true light in the darkest of nights which haunt me with even the slightest thought of being away from Guru. Ever indebted to my Satguru. Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, who has taught me true spirituality, humanity and most of all, I am able to realise my true purpose in this very birth!! Ram Rahim Ji has indeed been through thick and thins with me every minute guiding my paths and enlightening my thoughts.
